General Information

Our home ground is at Rosford Street Reserve, Rosford Street, Smithfield NSW  (Also known as Janice Crosio Oval)

We hold our Little Athletics competition on Friday evenings at 5:45pm. Joining Smithfield Athletics is an inexpensive sport that helps maintain your fitness over the summer season.

We welcome boys and girls between the ages of 3 to 17 to compete each week in a number of track and field events on Friday evenings. The younger age groups will also be participating in some fun games to develop their motor skills.

Competition starts at 6pm , however please be at the ground at least 15-20 minutes prior to the starting time, to allow competition to begin on time.

The season runs between September and March with breaks during the September/October and Christmas School holidays.

Registration includes:

• Little Athletics NSW costs and insurance

• Approximately 20 weeks of Friday night competition (depending on the weather)

• Entry into Zone, Region and State Championships for select age groups

• Presentation awards for eligible athletes

Parent volunteers are always needed each week to help in the canteen, sell raffle tickets, starting, time keeping etc. There is always something to do and your help would be very much appreciated. To ensure our nights run smoothly and successfully, we rely on the wonderful help and support of our community.

At the end of the season, all eligible athletes will receive an award at our Presentation as per our Constitution/Regulations.
