Parent Information

  • Encourage your child to participate according to the rules.* Focus on the child’s efforts and performances, not whether they win or lose.
  • Parents are reminded that the children are involved in Little Athletics for their enjoyment, not yours, so encourage your children to participate – do not force them.
  • Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from Little Athletics. Condemn the use of violence in any form whether it is by spectator, coaches, officials, athletes or other parents.
  • Recognise the value and importance of being a volunteer. It takes a lot of time and effort to run the competitions on Friday nights. Any help, whether it be small or large would be greatly appreciated. Please see a member of the committee if you can help in any way.
  • Respect decisions and show appreciation to the volunteers, coaches and committee members.. They give their time and effort to the club every Friday night. Without them your child could not participate.
  • Only adults who have signed on and been given a vest to help on the night are allowed onto the oval. Spectators are to remain behind the fence at all times. There is adequate seating in the stand.
  • Parents and guardians must stay on the grounds until the completion of the competition night.
  • If there is a problem with this, please see a committee member.
  • There is a NO PRAMS policy on the fields.
  • Smoking and drinking alcohol are not permitted on or around the grounds. This is a Council regulation. Fines for Smoking at a Sporting Event is $550 for an individual.
